Television presenter Russell Brand is considering moving to the Isle of Wight, according to reports.
Friends of the eccentric funny man told the People that he has been looking for properties on the picturesque island, which has a population of around 140,000.
"It might not sound like the kind of place you would expect Russell to be . but he loves the place and feels quite at home," a source said.
Mr Brand is said to think that the older residents of the island "are great fun - and make a change from the hustle and bustle of London".
Of particular interest to the comedian is Ventnor, which Richard Dickinson, a partner at Hose Rhodes and Dickson estate agents, last year said boasted "glorious sea views" from most houses.
"It now has a little harbour there and is now one of the most up and coming areas on the island - it is much improved."
If he does buy a home on the Isle of Wight, Mr Brand would be able to commute back to London easily, with Mr Dickinson pointing out that people can reach the island in less than two and a half hours.
