Former England striker Robbie Fowler has put his Welsh mansion in the property market for £1.5 million.
The football star, who failed to agree a new contract with Cardiff City has moved to Blackburn Rovers, putting his Beechcourt mansion, in the Vale of Glamorgan, up for sale.
Herbert R Thomas estate agents, in Cowbridge, said the property was "quite exceptional" and of a very "high quality".
The mansion has a large open plan diner/kitchen, a conservatory, five bedrooms, a garden and 0.79 acres of land.
One neighbour of the footballer told Wales Online: "People who can afford a £1.5m mansion dont have to worry about the credit crunch. Its sad it didnt work out for him but we wish him all the best."
Earlier this month Victoria and David Beckham put their Madrid mansion up for sale.
The Beckhams are expected to lose £2 million pounds on the property, which they spent £5 million on, including £500,000 on renovations.
